The motor was on and running but very bogged down! it was unbelievable car only has 3000 miles on it!

Was the motor bogged or did it go into "limp" mode? This is where the engine won't pass a certain RPM to allow you to 'limp' home without excessive damage to the motor. If it limped home it may point to a computer failure. Either way I'd get the dealer to check it out and see what codes are on the computer.

The motor would rev fine just sounded held back! i was making different boost numbers as well instead of a steady incline on the boost gauge, say 5 then to 7 then to 10 and 12.5
i turned the car off then back on it was fine AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think i just had to reset the system? IDK I hate this stuff!

My fiancee had the same problem with her '05 Civic when we took it in they found that the ECU was bad. They replaced under factory warranty it was one of those one in a million type things that happen considering all the test's the put a car through before it ever makes it to the car lot. Needless to say Honda was embarassed Since it was replaced we've had no problems.

I just had a similar problem on the way home today, except I was at WOT in second at about 6000 rpm it shut down and then there was no more tach as it dropped off to 0. It was all bogged out and the engine was surging at idle, almost stoppinig. Able to get home. Checke dunder the hood and all seemed ok. Tried turning it over 5-10 minutes later than no problem. Definately wierd. Should probably take it to the dealer to get it checked out I think. Sure doesn't inspire confidence when the car shuts down in 2nd under WOT.

I had the same exact problem once. Went straight to my dealer, it even stalled as I was entering the service area. They started it back up, CEL had gone off, they said they couldn't read any codes so it must have reset and they couldn't find anything wrong. Been running fine ever since.
