Smaller Pulleys question

What is the smallest pulley you can use without a bigger tensioner and just a shorter belt?

Okay. i already have a heat exchange that was installed before i bought it and i dont know if its dual pass or not. Does it matter if i run a 2.7 or 2.6 without dual pass?

I have a 2.6 and IMO you can probably fit a 2.5, but why would you want to?

Not trying to thread jack, but running a 2.6 did you machine your snout?

Not true. Use a ZZP pulley/hub and you can fit a 2.6 w/o machining. Also, the 2.6 is the smallest to go w/o belt slip. 2.5 is best to have a larger tensioner

but I had smootheflow, even though smootheflow said a 2.6 would fit without rubbing, it didn't..

I don't think you would need a larger tensioner for a 2.5, pretty sure there is really not that big of a difference between the 2, but who want's to overspin their blower?

it says on zzps site they run down to a 2.7 without machining
ZZPerformance pulleys do not require snout machining. By developing Ecotech specific pulleys we run all the way down to 2.7" w/o snout machining.
so i thought it would need to be machined for a 2.6

with a 2.6 you are going to generate a **** load of heat, you dont have to but be prepared for high IAT after 1 pull- install meth you can get away without cooling mods. The cooler the better. With an extra HE it will help and you have that.
