So I want a Downpipe/Header combo.

I'm thinking about buying something for my car and decided to do research on these. My questions were:

What is a good company to buy from?

If I'm hooking it up to a stock exhaust, should I be good to go?

Do I need a tune after?

I'm going to be searching these threads to see if I can find my answer(s).

H/DP's sound raspy on stock catbacks. You won't need a tune for it to run fine though it wouldn't hurt. I like my Vibrant.

When it says 2.5 or 3" for exit flange. What should I get for a stock exhaust?

Cool thanks.

I don't like to be raspy.

stock is 2.5. but the flange itself is 2.25. the one on mine doesnt have a flange on the exit. i just band clamp it. all you would have to do is cut off the 2.25 part of yours. put on a 2.5 connector, and band clamp it

Ahh I see.

Do you have any clips of it with your STOCK exhaust? Doesn't hurt to ask.

newp sure dont. it will only sound "raspy" because the stock muffler is so efficient at cancelling out sound. if its too loud, just put a cat in. im telling you man, this **** is nice. i can have the people that heard it with a cat in california give their opinions if need be

tell you what. for a little bit more ill even send you a stock DP already made to fit with this header AND a stock catback.

Well I'm still trying to see if this is something I actually want. I've never messed with the exhaust system.
