Them not building cars doesn't stop the parts manufacturers from making the parts. All it means is now the parts have no where to be assembled at. The uaw isn't just hurting its members its hurting people who aren't even in the union. Way to go uaw! :

why does everyone think that if there is a GM strike no part or the world stops turning that is why there are aftermarket parts

I predict GM will move all of its manufacturing jobs out of the US in the next 10 to 15 years.

Makes good business sence doesn't it? If I have to pay worker "A" $80,000 a year + medical benifits or I can get the exact same job done by employee "B" for around $20,000 a year and not have to pay medical benifits. Which is the better way to go? OH and the first guy could go on strike at any time and shut me down where as the second guy is so happy to have a job he'd eat glass if asked to.

Now which would I go with.......hmmmmm?
