Some help, new member!

Hello all, my name is Kevin and I recently purchased a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS S/C. I've been reading the forums for a few days now and I am excited to find so much information about this car!

Anyway, my question is this...I have read a few times around and on other posts noticed that people get 26+ MPG with their cobalt SS. mine only gets around 21-22...could this be spark plugs? the car has 72k miles on it and I have only owned it for about 2 weeks.

I use 91 octane btw

start using 93 and get it tuned, intake, those things alone can pick it up a bunch, old enough you could prob have the fuel filter changed and the tranny flushed also

I bought it with lowering springs, and I want to do a CAI sometime in the future. I will change the spark plugs just to make sure.

I usually drive sporty, this is my first Supercharged car and I just love the whine lol.

The whine is addicting. For best MPG's though try and stay out of boost.

with mainly highway i can get 36-37. when my car was new i was getting 40-42 with the ac on and 2 passengers.

just do some freshening up maintenance and some light mods with a tune as mentioned by others.

in my experience this car gets thirsty when you drive it like "mustang guy"

did you have any exhaust mods? That'd make it so you can't hear it.
