I just picked up some Autolite 3922s. NGK BKR7Es are popular but seem to be harder to get around me so I went back to the Autolites. Colder plugs are recomended with stage 2.

This might be a really stupid question, but does that effect the warranty by replacing the spark plugs with aftermarket ones?

Nope no warrany issue that I have heard! I told my dealership that I did it, and they just asked "I BET IT RUNS BETTER TOO, DOESN'T IT?" but my dealership is a little different on that than most!!

That's a touchy subject. It can if they can prove it was the colder plugs that caused the problem. That's it.

I got my Zex plugs in Wednesday. The colder plugs with the 3 electrodes.

I'm installing them tomorrow. I'll let you know how they work out.

My NGKs are acting up. They are a year old so it's about that time.
They have been great plugs though.

You should change colder plugs at least once a year.

I put in the Autolite 3922 and the car seems to run better. It feels like the top end is a little smoother especially on consecutive runs. Some people claim it makes the car behave like night and day but mine was a subtle change, but a change none-the-less.

I have stage II and put the Autolite's in. It ran better. I put the Zex in a few weeks ago to see since I run them in my supercharged Chevy 1/2 ton. The Zex seem to make the car run smoother with a little more response.

Is this recommended on the stock engine or only with Stage 2?

If you want NGKs check out sparkplugs . com (remove spaces). They have pretty good prices on them.

I called GM and they told me not to worry about getting another set of plugs they say the stock ones will work great. I guess i should belive you guys before them. I just dont understand why GM think they know it all.

Talk to somone in the GMPP division that knows what they are talking about and what spark blowout is. They tell you they will be fine because if they dont they feel they are admitting their product is inferior, even though it is no longer being used in the designed application.
