Question Spark Plugs Cofused Here

Ok so today i went to Napa to get new spark plugs, i ordered the NGK BKR7E cause i have read in here that they are the best,

But the guy up front said that those where only some kind of resistors, and that they wont fit my SS/SC..

So i came home and looked at Advanced Auto Parts and they do have them but the will only fit 98 Aston Martins, 04 Volvos , 98 Grnd cherokees but it said nothin bout Cobalt, not one thing.

So i really would like to know if the NGk BKR7E fit the cobalt 2.0 or i have to get other ones,

I saw some NGKs laser platinum but i want either copper or iridum for my balt.

Help please!!

i along with a shitload of members have them in their car. it's not that they only fit in those cars, they probably come stock in those cars. i've noticed that lots of guys that work at the parts counter don't really know what they're doing, like in most jobs.

exactly. Most people in the world are idiots, you have to remember that. They go to there crappy minimum wage 9 to 5 job, or a few hours a day because they can't succeed in the real world. In return you get half a$$ed information that will make you think twice about the truth.

I have the ngk bkr7e's in my car and so do probably half the people on this forum. They are great plugs and extremely cheap.

factory replacement are iridium, so that's what they're little computer spits out, you've got the right part number so just tell them you need four of them. If you need more reassurance just compare the length of the threads of the old and new plugs, they should be identical

people that work at auto parts stores are not "professionals" they are making 8-9 bucks an hour to read a computer screen, theres not alot of knowledge needed, you will learn more on here than you ever would working there.

I m bout to get stage 3 in it..

so the NGK 's are copper so that are better conductors they dont last longer than the iridium ones but they good..

Is it good to use these plugs only when your car is modded, or is it just as benificial using them when your car is stock?

No the 3922's are step 1...

But you are on the right track with the autolite! ITs what i use..

If thats all you have.. one step colder should be fine..

Id stay 2 steps when you hit 300.. or closer to...

1. Plug type has nothing to do with the thread's pitch and length which actually determine whether a plug will fit in the engine or not.

2. Pretty much all gasoline engines in modern cars use resistor plugs.

3. Those are the correct plugs and will fit.

It can be bad for the car to run a plug that is too cold, maybe worse than running a plug that is too hot. On a stock SS/SC there is no reason to go with a colder plug. The typical rule of thumb I believe is around every 50 - 75 hp or so increase you go one step colder.
