Spec 3 + LSJ
Spec 3 + LSJ
So ive done lots of searching and im about to pull the trigger on a clutch. Just wondering what everyones experience is with the spec 3+. Also if you highly recommend any others let me know. Read non stop but the reviews are spotty or only a review for first couple days, not long term
Cars current out put is 300hp, 260 torque and im aiming for higher. Key is this is still my daily driver so need ok street engagment.

i have spec 3+ and its so f'n nice
i was doing alot of searching myself and i had a friend that had exedy and i also felt the gm upgrade and i i love the spec. the exedy felt like i was driving a old truck, its not a bad clutch at all but for a dd i couldnt do it. the gm is also good and would be my second choice but i still wanted something stronger. the spec feels better than stock imo and while in the break in period its still fun to drive.
many say they have problems but i have none so far. i got a new stock fly wheel, new fly wheel bolts, gear oil, and clutch master cylinder so i would never have to touch the clutch again. do it right and you do it once. im turbo swapped now and i beat the hell out of it on the street and the track and shes holding just fine.
hope this helps...

It can handle some abuse. It came on my car when I bought it and at first I thought it was a tricky lil sum bitch but experienced stick drivers will quickly get used to it. Its by no means hard to handle, just tricky. Itll take 3000 rpm slip launches with ease, in fact thatll only make it bite harder the next time. At least thats been my experience
This might help you

it made the chattering noise under load from day 1..like if ur going 70 and u speed up u can hear the clutch...really annoying...but the rattleing at idle started about 6 months ago...but driving wise this clutch is awesome... easy to shift and easy to shift quickly

For real, if it's making any kind of noise right after install you should have taken it back to the shop and had them look at it.
it wasnt mine i was talking about, read post above, i installed the clutch myself and it isnt making any noise at all, when i said time will tell i meant we will see how the clutch is after 50k
