Spoiler removal

I know there are the four bolts holding it on, but is the sealant something I need to be concerned with? Does it need to be heated to be pulled, or replaced with another seal/sealant? I'm asking because I'm working on a trade deal. Want to trade my high rise for a low rise. Thanks ladies.

There is a BUNCH of it holing it on. When I took mine off I used a plastic spatula and 205lbs of ass.

Yeah it's a pain in the ass. I was lifting like hell while my girlfriend was cutting the adhesive with a box cutter. If I went back in time I would not do it again.

Which section should this be in?

Thanks for the responses. What did you replace the sealant with?

Swapping spoilers, if you keep it clean and all of the adhesive left on just bolt them back down. It will reform. I did that and it was just as hard to take it back off again.

Kool. Thanks PD! I'll just separate it from the spoiler itself, and leave the adhesive on the car, then bolt the replacement back down.

Yep, though bits will be on both the spoiler and the car.

Heat gun or hair dryer will work wonders to loosen up the adhesive and get some strong fishing line and saw back and forth it will come with patience.
