So there is an srt4 guy in my town, probably mid 20's, talking alot of crap about other peoples cars ect... I personally havent met the guy but a lady at a shop I go to that does street racing on the weekends told me about him. She drives an auto trans am s/c. But this guy will only race from a 40mph roll for some rreason so she cant beat him to shut him up. So she asked me if my car would be able to take him. I think I might be able to, but im asking you guys what you think. He is modded less than me just fyi.

if he is modded forget about it

 

depends what his mods are.
SRT4s modded less than us will still generally be quicker.
they respond to mods far better as far as straight line speed.

A supercharged LS-1 got beat by an SRT-4? I think you are in trouble. Even if she had it tuned for dig races, she should have left him in a cloud of smoke. I think he is bullshitting about his mods also. Either that or this chick can't drive.

Thats what I thought. But yeah from what ive been told, her car would absolutly kill him from a dig and thats why he wont race like that. So she thinks I have a shot. Either way Im gunna have fun. at least I will know about where I stand in my area.

That is a previous generation motor in a trans am, an lt1, which is about a second slower in the 1/4 mile. It has exhaust, cai, and gears (tuned for dig, whatever that means) in that video.

The ls1 is known for its 3rd gear pull...

Nah, everyone underestimate how stupid anoyingly fast srt-4's are. It really grinds my gears they are so damn fast.

Really all he needs is injectors, a Saf-c, a cutout and a wastegate actuator and he will be trapping close to 110. It's stupid how fast they go and no one knows why. If he upgraded his turbo prepare to be embarrassed.

I did think it was weird that she cant beat him. But I have never raced an srt4. I wont feel bad if I loose cuz I didnt come into it talking a big game. I only race for the rush. Hell when I was driving my 98 tracer, I would play with just about every car I found. its just for fun.

 

yeah, it might be a fun race, but he might still be bragging afterwards. My bro has 330 wtq and 290 whp on his SRT-4, and thats still without internal mods, using the stock turbo. Before the custom tune, with his Mopar stage 1 and a 40 dollar boost controller, exhaust, intake and larger intercooler, he was still at 310 wtq and 272 whp. Stupid fast!
