Depending on how much you want to spend, GMPP Stage 2 kit, GMPP Exhaust, Airbox mod to save about 150 and get the same results, and a Ingalls Torque Dampener so you don't get wheel hop and break something. I would start with those.

gmpp stage 2 costed me about 800 installed (get it from cobalt-addiction or crateenginedepot)
gmpp preformance exhaust cost me 760 installed (you can get it for prolly like 600 installed, i bought it from the dealer which isnt the cheapest)
CAI;cold air intake, cost me about 250 installed myself.

most people first mods ar CAI, then stage 2 and exhaust. wait and see, wether or not to get traction mods. some poeple dont get wheel hop and some get terrbile wheel hop so see if u need it. by the way all the prices are CDN$$$ where you from newcomer?

Injen intake, Vibrant Header, Corsa Exhaust, DC Sport strut bar, Turbo Tech Racing solid engine mount, Eibach sportlines.

These are a few of the most common begining mods our customers do.

there are a few topics on this and i have gone more in depth in those. seach "first mod" or something of the sort.

basically an intake is the best "first mod" u can do if u want to mess with the engine. slight performance increase, fun sound, and it's on a budget.

my first two recommendations that i know you wont follow:
1) a torque damper or solid upper engine mount from TTR
2) a rear sway bar

..... but i did the intake path as many have done and it is not a bad thing to start with by any means.
