I just a call from the parts department at my Chev dealer to let me know that pricing and availablilty just appeared in the system for the staged kits. He gave me the kit for $1075 Can (not including labor). He said the kit is ship direct and will be here in 10 days!

that price has to be way off.. you can buy everything seperatly for cheaper then that..

Just called my dealer they said probably 2 weeks. I really don't think the dealers have any clue, but I would be happy to be proved wrong and someone get their kit sooner than later.

 

Someone else call the dealership. I'm at work and can't look into it right now.

It takes 10 days from the date of order.....

 

I JUST got off the phone with my dealer.... Said the part was finally in the system... NO STOCK, WILL BE CANCELED UPON ORDER ENTRY....

 

I here ya. He said the MSRP is approx. $1250 and he would sell for $1075. That works out about $923 US. Crate engine sells for $637 US which is $742 Can plus shipping of course.

Should I buy it from Crate or the dealer? Might get scewed on the labor if I don't buy from the dealer.

 

I'm in Canada, maybe we have availability 1st? I'm just going on what the parts guy told me.

 

Koons Chevrolet in Baltimore (410-931-7890) says part number 17803229 (stage 2) is NOT a good part number. Meaning it does not exist in the computer...

As for the Canada thing we have been over that before...not likely.

 

Can someone in Canada call a local dealer to verify?

it is a good number, it's either not in their system or the parts ppl are just to lazy to look for it. I was told that so many times when I knew it was a good part #. Dealers I belive are the last to know anything.

 

I gave the parts guy Jacques the upgrade part #'s when I seen them posted on this site (from the SEMA show) He wrote down the numbers and told me he would check once a week to see if it was in the system yet. He gave me a call today out of the blue to let me know he didn't forget I wanted pricing and availability on the stage kits.

It is the 1st time in 4 months I talked to the guy, so I believe him if he says it is now available.

I wouldn't put anything past GM...

All the other guys that "ordered" theirs a couple of weeks ago had the same thing happen. Their orders were canceled the next day....

I hope yours doesn't and they are FINALLY out though!!!

 

I've waited this long, so if I get shafted on the deal and have to wait longer, what can I do?
What's another few weeks, if that is the case?

 

It's definitely in the system, but that doesnt make them available, see what im saying.

 

He said it is 10 day direct ship item. All I can do is oreder it and see if it gets cancelled to know for sure.

 

basically ya, I was going to order as well from my dealer but they said $1264 (CAN) if it went through id be happy and mad at the same time. Shipped from CED im looking at $812 (CAN) for stage 2. Either way let us know what happens

They were just the dealer i called quickly from work. My dad knows the parts manager at another dealership and even he said they are not in his system. He call GM before and confirmed Doc's prices that he listed a while back. So it is not just the one dealership.....
