Stage 2 ECU Flash
I have a question I was hoping to have answered
I have Stage 1 on my 07 SS-SC
I was looking to have stage 2 put in but from what I can see its just a pulley and a flash.
I also wanted to get a tune done by a local shop called revtronics.
My question is will the tune work in replace of the GM flash, so could I have the pulley installed and then have the tune done and this work the same as GM flashing my ECU or go I have to get GM to flash the car then take it to get the tune done.
One more question, I have an issue with the cars idle, sometime it feels like its almost going to stall when I`m at a red light. I am thinking this is from the power draw of my stereo but it happens weather the stereo is on or not, would replacing the alt pulley with a lighter one fix this problem, I ask because I read its caused by voltage drops from the over wieght stock alt pulley.
If it makes a difference the only performance based mods I have are a Fujita F5 intake and Stage 1 (done by dealership)
And my idle problem is a once in a while kinda thing and goes away after I step on the gas a few times, the car has never stalled or anything and does not hesitate once the gas steped on
Thanks

^you have no idea what you're talking about.
if you already have stage 1 from GM, you already have the stage 2 flash on your car. The tune is the same, you could just slap a s2 pulley on and be set if you wanted. If you planned on getting a custom tune, why waste money on the GM stage kits? The majority of the money for those kits is for the tune, it's a ton cheaper to piece together your own kit and get a custom tune rather than going through GM. I would first off clean your throttle body to see if that helps with your idle problem.

not really you can do a quick and dirty clean of the TB by taking a cleaning rag, spray the rag with TB cleaner and wipe the inside of the TB without taking it off of the supercharger. Its not that large or deep.

I read the instructions on the TB cleaner and it said to spray it while the TB is on and the car is running.
That can't be right or good for the car, anyway I want to take it off and do a thorough job of cleaning it up.
If I use the polishing bit on the end of my cordless dremel it shouldn't harm anything right.
That damn cordless dremel doesn't have half the power of the regular dremels anyway.
Thanks for all the help guys
