buy it from crate engine depot and call all your local dealers to get the best price, they should not charge you more than $250 for install if you buy the kit yourself

yea but the stage kit doesnt hold warranty on ur engine..only on the stage parts that are put on the engine are covered under warranty...the rest of your engine warranty goes out the window...and yes u do need to get it reflashed by a dealer with the calibration your given...CED sells stage two for 550

if you install it yourself, you have 12 months part warranty on the stage 2 pieces. if the dealer installs it, you still have your warranty

Well your dealer and everyone you spoke to sucks. If GM S1 or S2 kit is installed by a GM dealer you will still have the exact warrenty you had before you had the kit installed. If you or a different mechanic installs the kit then you have a 12 month warrenty.

As long as a gm cert mechanic installs it, then its under warranty. Doesn't matter if he installs it while he is on the clock or not.

mine was $550 from c.e.d. + $20 bucks for shipping +i got nailed $75 at the border for brokerage fees + i got it installed at my dealer for $80 bucks (they gave it to me for staff pricing )

best mod ever !

from what they told me was if i install it warranty wont cover anything that gets damaged from the install physicaly or mechanicly which i can respect that. if they install it it still has full warranty !

your dealer is wrong.. you guys need to realize that most Dealerships for the longest time had no clue wtf stage kits were.. there "warranty" bs they tell you is just scare tactics for them not wanting to take the job..

i did the stage II install myself at HOME and just drove to the dealer to get the reflash.. guess what?.. still have warranty..

the warranty of the stage kit is for the stage kit itself... yes it does not overlap with the standard "motor" warranty.. however.. if something does **** up. they have to prove the stage kit (warrantied by them) caused the destruction of the motor (also warrantied by them)... so in the end.. they really cant do nothing.

I think that dealer is just run by a bunch of retards. You still get too keep your factory warranty if it was installed by a gm dealer. Same goes with all of the gmpp parts
