Stage 2 or wait?

Well I have the money now for stage 2, and my dealer said they can get me one in as soon as 3 weeks.

Should I wait for a stage 3? Or just order the stage 2?

Is stage 3 coming anytime soon? Thanks.

Yes go with stage 2. You won't be sorry. Stage 3 won't be out for a while and it's not covered under warrany. So go stage 2. If you decide to go stage 3 in the future you will have the correct hub from your stage 2.

Order the Intense Stage 4 for the same price and get a custom tune made specifically for your car. Every single one is different. You will make more power also. To hell with the warranty. The dealer won't warranty 3/4 of the stuff you will break anyhow.

Yeah the problem with Intense stuff is the tune. These tunes don't account for intakes and exhaust. So if you have one or the other with an Intense tune, it doesn't work out that well. Go GM stage 2 and get a tune done at a local shop so the tune can include things like an intake and exhaust.

Here is a thread that backs this claim. This guy has an intake with his Intense kit and it needed a custom tune.

Yes they do *******, that's why I said a custom tune to YOUR vehicle. I have an intake and full exhaust on my car and the tune I have for MY vehicle works FLAWLESS. It also shoots fireballs when it gets pissy. You'll never see a factory tune allow that to happen. Things like torque management deleted, catalytic converter overheat protection deleted, rear O2 codes deleted, misfire codes deleted, etc. You'll never see a manufacturer tune do that. Which is why you'll never see a GM Stage 2 put out more power than an Intense kit with the same pulley size.

Who the **** are you calling ******* you peice of ****? Go **** yourself. It's little bitches like you that ruin threads and talk **** when they're not in front of someone like a little bitch. Go play with dady's car and get off the forums looser.

Intense only does custom tunes if you are there in person jack off. The normal intense kit doesn't include intake and exhaust tunes.

If you are concerned with the warranty then go with the stage 2.

If you don't care about the warranty. buy a set of 42.5 # or 60 # injectors, a 2.8" pulley, a smaller belt like stage 2 uses, and have a custom HPTune done specific to your car.

You want your warranty then YES, go Stage 2. You will be happy you did. I enjoyed Sage 2 when I got mine until the power bug crept back into my mod plans.

So when are you thinking of doing a custom HPTuners, Matty?

The near, near future. I just have to recoup some funds back, since I blew a few $$$ in Kelowna this weekend for the wedding I attended. And the hangover I attended

Stage 2 performed like a champ on the Coquahallia. Mountians made no difference in power that I noticed.

Stage 3 has no warranty. I doubt there will be anything else GM will put out for the Cobalt that is covered. IMO, stage 2 is the max for them.
