What have you stage 2 guys beat or lost to and how bad. Includes stage 2 with a 2.9 or 2.8.

I'm new to the SS but was told stg 2 would beat a 99-04 GT with minor bolt-on's without much problem. I guess you can tell a decent gain with it?? I'm getting stage 2 installed next weekend but my old car was an 01 GT with O/R x-pipe,flowasters dumped, UDP's, CAI,TB/Plenum, Tune with Stat,Suspension and 4:10's and I raced a stock ss/sc ..bet him by alteast 10 cars. Hopefully he just couldn't drive even though the GTwas a low/mid 13 sec car.

 

you should have kept your gt, these cars are only mid 13s with a good driver, if you want real power that will destroy evos, stis, gts etc... get TVS swap

 

the tvs swap is great, but if its not in your price range theres nothing wrong with nitrous, smaller pulleys, cooling mods, and meth. That will take evos, sti's, etc no problem

 

Italianjoe1 would destroy that GT u used to have.

I've beaten a few minor bolt on GT w/ stage 2 and and intake......

 

i have beaten many stockish and modified 99-2004 GT's. I have a stage 2 but am only pushing 14 psi and have a borla muffler and cai.

Well, best of luck. I love Cobalts and all, but a KB Blower on that Mustang would have changed your mind.

 

I have stage 2 and aem cai no exhaust and I beat an 07 mustang gt with exhaust...from a 45 roll...

 

I find that hard to beleive !!

 

07 mustangs arent as good as you think hp isnt everything

 

I Believe him, for I have done it too from rolls(held two off by a quarter panel from a 40 and 70 roll)...the new GT's are a tad bit overrated. I slammed one's ass in my '00 T/A Stock for stock by at least 3 cars...both auto.. They're faster than the old one's tho definitely.
