Stage 3 And 4 info

I talked to a buddy over at Lotus in town, they are the ones that are doing the engineering for the stage kits. They say that stage 1 and 2 have been done for a WHILE, GM is just doing their own testing and verification. They are currenty working on stages 3 and 4, however, the problems they're encountering is the stock F35 blowing up.

stage 3 was cancelled because the stock clutch couldnt handle it. I doubt that they'll make stages past 2.

so include something to upgrade it to handle the power, instead of scraping the idea all together

stage 3 was cancelled because the flux capacitor wasnt able to handle the stress the unobtainium pulley was capable of delivering to the muffler bearings. The spark from the flux capacitor melting down melted holes thru both the blink fluid and seatbeat fluid resivors cause them to mix and spontaneously combust like C4.

stage 4...ever heard of china syndrome?

Flux Capacitor from "Back to the Future" and Unobtainum from "The Core"....Those are some impressive parts.....

Stage 3 and 4 could be easily accomplished, but would be very costly due to the number of stock parts that need to be replaced (improved) for higher horsepower.
Maybe if they had a mothly payment plan.......

Who really cares if they package it as a "stage". Maybe they are working on off-road only parts, that would have some GM warranty backing from breakage but just not maintain factory warranty. This would eliminate any concerns they need to have for the clutch and such.

This could be good news....

I think GM should make stage 3 a package....something like Higher performance clutch and all the tuning. As for the F35....well thats another problem they need to solve. I just dont see the poin in GM giving up on a stage 3.

tell them to tell us these stages require certain required part upgrades prior to installing stage ?

Ok, don't you think we should wait for them to first introduce Stage 1 and 2 to the public before we even start to talk about a Stage 3??? Just a thought....

I say replace parts or include parts to handle power. Hell, why not just make the kit but say in bold red letters "certain parts needed to take full advantage" or somethin. Hell if mopar makes a stg 3 kit that replaces the stock turbo I say GM can do somethin along those lines of replacing parts. Then again I guess stock parts between our cars vary in what they can handle.

Seriously! Isn't a stage upgrade making the car better anyways? Why not include an upgraded clutch in the stage 3!

I was just told by my bud Jim @ Gravana that GM was sending him in the next couple of weeks a 2 Stage 2 packgs and a prototype Stage 3 which so far all I know it includes a revised throttle body and mapping, I'm sure there is more but Jim could remember everything. They even told him about potentially working on a pckg that upgrades the supercharger via swap or drilling it out some more
