you guys may already know this, but i was informed by GM racing today that the stage 1 and stage 2 kits will be available in early december in conjunction with the PRI show. still no word on what they will include. we will just have to wait and see..

 

Did you make absoulte sure that it was for the ECO TEC 2.0L Supercharged?! Because I have the build book with the stage kits but they are for the 2.2L. But in the very back of the book there are a couple things for our cars.

As for the post, good to hear, hopefully GM sticks to this and it's not just another date that's being thrown around on the forums. I would hope that if these were for the 2.2L that they would also release the stages for the 2.0L in conjunction. If it's for the 2.0L I hope they release something for the 2.2L in conjunction. I'm pretty much satisfied as long as everyone gets what they want...that's not asking too much is it .

yes, 100% positive this is referencing the 2.0L Cobalt SS Supercharged model.

 

That is encouraging. I seem to remeber reading that they were only doing Stages 2&3; sort of like the base SS was stage 1. Could be wrong though, and pretty sure of it.

 

I can not wait if this is true, ill buy it asap and I will buy stage 3 when available!!!!!!

Now I'm curios about this. So can you buy straight to Stage 3 'in theory.' Or do you have to buy 1--->2--->3. I guess what I'm getting at is if Stage 3; for instance, would contain all of the parts in stages 1 & 2.

 

I heard the same thing at the Bash this July.

They said they weren't 100% sure they were going to release anything at that point but if they did bring something to market it would be after sema in late 2005/early 2006

I heard the upgrade would get us to 240 HP

There is currently stage kits out for the 2.2L. In my build book I have instructions on what to buy to make the engine put out more than 1400HP!!!!! It's nuts! Maybe I should've kept my Saturn L-200 lol. It had the 2.2L. Lease though......

I like the Stage 1, 2 & 3 idea better than acting as if a stock SS is stage 1.
