well i ordered my stage 1 today from my dealership and went to ask them if they will be able to do teh reflash and the service manager has never even heard of stg1....so you guys that have had it done how did the dealer know how to do the flash? does it come with somthing to give them that they can do the flash only on your car or what? just wondering because i dont want to go there on my only day off and try to get the flash and it is going to take them a week just to get the program to flash my car with....i want to make sure even if they have never done a stg kit before they can flash it the same day i take it there...thanks ahead of time for the replys

 

The instruction manual walks the service techs through the install. There is a code that they will have to call the Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC) and the techs give them your VIN and the code on the instruction booklet and in return technical support gives the tech doing the install a VCI or Vehicle Configuration Index which is good for your car only!! and then they let the dealer have the new reflash

 

awsome...so if i get the car there in the morning they sould have the flash done that day right? im putting the injectors in myself so all i need gm to do is the flash

 

yup. will be done that day. Not sure how long because i had the dealer install my Stage 2 and was about 3.5hrs because mine was the first one done
