Canada STGII or Cat Exhaust 1st???????

Hello all. I have a new 2007 victory red cobalt ss/sc (3000kms) and have to watch the pennies as I add to it. Should I add the Stage II first or the manifold & Cat Exhasut???

Thank you so much for your valued advice in advance, I love this forum and everyone has something interesting to read.

Stage 2 hands down will give you the most noticeable increase .

Stage 2 and while you are at add the dual pass end plate. Then do the exhaust and cat back as another project. Victoria Motor Products has experience doing Stage II.

My first modification was stage 2 and I don't regret it. The stock exhaust has a decent sound to it anyways.

I would do exhaust first. My idea is Let the car breath first by putting intake and full exhaust, then start giving it some steroids (stageII or III)

if you are concerned to change the sound more then do the exhaust. But if you want the real difference that you will feel and hear then get the stage 2. The stage 2 in our cars has the ability to throw passengers, sometimes drivers into their seats while going WOT in second gear. Best bang for buck.

If you really want to get an exhaust though, crateenginedepot still has the gmpp exhausts for a reasonable price. They still have stock from the original price but when the stock is done and they go to the 08 stock, the price will be over 500, not even including the tip.

If you can't afford to do the downpipe and catback at the same time there isn't any sense in just doing a cat back to help it breathe .... the stock downpipe has the biggest restriction ( crush at o2 sensor) of the whole exhaust .

Some people don't want to throw away their warranty on their new car , that was the biggest reason i went with a GM kit .

Thank you to all!!!!

Thanks for all your input, I was told to go here and ask before I did anything....because this is the site where the experts weigh in.... In keeping my warranty I am getting the stage 2. Looking forward to the extra zip. But also going to track down how to get rid rid of engine hop COMPLETELY and in 1 step.
