Stock whp

I am thowing my stock 2005 cobalt onto a dyno this weekend. The dyno will be a Mustang dyno and it will be in 4th gear. What can I expect from a typical run with a cobalt??

That sounds about right. I really wish I would of got a stock run on the dyno. I would say anywhere from 200-220, some cars have more than others. Conditions always matter on dynos. I think some people pulled 200 torq stock but I'm unsure....

who gives a **** what goes on in other forums, the same thing happens here when other people mention other types of cars. i can't believe so many people are worried about how much power other people think their car has.

Lowest stock dyno ive ever seen posted on this forum was 197.
anywhere from 205-225 would be normal, probably about 90% dyno in this range.
we have had a few clear 230.

(oh and be sure to pass on the results of this little covert mission of yours onto our forums Id love to see the look on the faces of those guys in that thread that think ss/sc's dyno at 180. Keep us updated K?)

I really have no Idea what you are talking about, I have never even owned a Honda .

Anyway got it dynoed yesterday, I ended up making 193whp and 185wtrq. in 4th gear. The guy at the shop seemed pretty happy with the #s, according to him for this particular dyno my #s were a bit above average because of the colder weather. I will try to post the dyno sheets as soon as I can get them scanned in. I guess all that is left to do know is start moding

nah.. those numbers are dead on

all of you guys are over shooting.. he said mustang dyno.. i would of guessed about 195/180 stock on a mustang and you did that and a little better.. on a jet/pack you are looking at the normal 215-220 range.. be happy

Yeah I called a shop around here that uses a Mustang dyno and he was telling me that he has an Integra he races SCCA with and the Mustang dyno always came in about 7% lower than other dynos he would run on with in the same week just to compare them.

mustang dynos are load inertia dynos.. i recommend over all else and its the best to use imo.. its real life #... Packs/jets are normally not load bearing and tend to just calculate power by your rpm/mph change over time..

Good #s but I dynoed on a mustang dyno and got 215 whp and 191 wtq at 65 degrees. Maybe he did somthing wrong or could have been the climate.
