Supercharger Measurements

Can somone take the height measurement from the base of the blower to the top of the ribs? Also, the length from the end of the shaft to the base of the blower just behind where the actual screws would end? And lastly the width? I'm deployed right now, or I'd do it myself. Thanks ahead of time.

Whatever would have brought you to that conclusion? Thanks, but can somone still take the measurement from the beginning of the shaft to roughly behind the rotors?

It sucks being away from the car, especially when two things have my current attention and I could score a cheap ass deal on them!

Those measurements on the link aren't accurate as they are for a 4th Gen M62.

Well, what I was looking at on Ebay is now gone so it really doesn't matter , but could you take those measurements when you get a chance. Thanks.

Also, if you are thinking of a M90 swap, I'd suggest not to but thats just my opinion. The cfm isn't much different than the M62 when both are maxed out and the delta temps on the graphs on www.magnusonproducts.com doesn't show that it will have cooler air.

All in all, it would be a waste of time IMO. Try it if you want but just letting you know in case that's what you're thinking. Oh and BTW, the M90 shows it takes 50hp from the crank to turn the M90 when maxing out so you'll actually lose hp because the M62 only takes about 30 when maxing out.

Thanks, and to all that were wondering I absolutely would not put an M90 on my car. The little beast I was looking at had Kenne Bell stamped on the side! :

Does someone have pictures of this kit? I've heard it's been done, but I have yet to see it or the results from it! I just want more power, but I'd love to keep that blower whine!

No pics, sorry...just need an adapter plate for the TB and to mount to the intake manifold. Then depending on it, you might have to buy a different driveshaft snout because it might be too short (the one that comes on it)

I planned on doing all that as I have the capability to do so. Just getting the blower is the issue!

Don't doubt me...I don't spit out BS, not worth my time. Ask sheek if ya want, he lives in Miami where this cobalt is. What makes you think it is so difficult to do? Doesn't seem much work IMO because I have full access to a sheet metal shop where I can make the plates to work.

You gotta remember, most of the time, the fastest cars aren't people that are online...

Well, then someone needs to get a hold of this guy and ask him to post for us. I'd like to know what it took to work, what kind of power he's making, and what he thinks!

He doesn't want to get on the forums...wants to be original and catch people by surprise...let me put it this way of how fast it is...guys down there with Stage 3 SRT4s will admit he puts bus lengths on them though and the thing is, stock exhaust and internals on it...I'll just kind of leave it at that

I understand the need to be original and take people by surprise. I like the sound of Stage 3 SRT-4's getting smoked, so I guess I'll have to do it myself. Now insearch of a damn blower! Why do companies always discontinue good things?

I hear that! I wouldn't spend so much time online if I was home with my car. In fact I'd be fabbing the same stuf myself to do the same!

Whipple won't do anything for us, trust me, numerous people have tried calling to pester them into nothing and they won't budge, also, I love my RL because RLs have no problem with clearance issues...
