Symptoms of a bad bypass valve?

So I'm thinking that my bypass valve may be bad due to some things that I'm seeing. There seems to be an unusual amount of play in it when I move it vs moving the one that came with the harrop TVS. I'd switch it out but the one that came with the harrop doesnt allow for boost cut through hp tuners.

Some other things that have been an issue is higher IATs, when I first put it on the TVS I was getting a bypass valve code but then it went away. I seem to be missing about 3psi or so. Car doesn't seem to have the same punch it did before.

So what are some typical things that would indicate its bad and I can confirm if thats what I'm experiencing or not?

Higher iat's
lower or flucuating boost
whacky afr's
Decrease in fuel economy

those are the most common things to indicate if it is bad.

it comes with one on it but does not have the provision for boost control so if that is big for you then you can swap if not just bolt on and go

Not trying to thread jack, but does you OTTP Stg 3 kit have boost limiting in first? Do you find it impssible to drive?

I have all of these symptoms but no Harrop.
I have been thinking for awhile that my stock Bypass Valve and or Solenoid is going bad.
What parts do I need to buy to replace it and where do I get them?
Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately mine has gone bad and I'm running the boost bypass mod bc the bpv would remain stuck open and bleed off alll but 3 psi... lol

Lol, I have been doing that occasionally at the track but I want the issue actually fixed, not just bypassed.

I see that ZZP has the Bypass Valve for sale, where do I get a new Solenoid?

how would you limit boost with the harrop bypass valve? theres only one line on it and that goes to the charger theres nothing to hook the other line to the solenoid

Waiting on blowers to get in so i can pick it up from harrop.

To my knowledge you can't limit boost on the harrop becuase it comes with the acuator that has the provison (2nd port) removed as the did not deem it neccessary.

you limit the boost the same way you do on the stock one. torque management. you have a bcs for this reason.

Harrop added the second port after the pre-production blowers. All new blowers have the ability to use boost control.
