Real simple question but I couldn't find an answer using the search function....

With the Tag Racecraft exhaust it says it eliminates the DP. Is there any advantages/disadvantages to this? Their exhaust sounds great but if its a bitch to install or if it throws CEL's or if there is custom fab to be done to get it in then forget it....

Anyone? Please? lol There has to be someone with the Tag exhaust....

haha im having some bad luck finding which exhaust I want... first, the Hahn is 3" and everyone says stay away unless your modding past GM Stage 2 and now when I find a good sounding exhaust they are apparently out of business haha

Ok does anyone know this for sure? And if they are out of business what are some good sounding exhausts that are 2.5"? The magnaflow sounds like ****, too ricy for me and I'm not feeling the Vibrant or DC sports either...

 

Go with the Magnaflow, they are having a GB right now for them.

 

I can't stand the sound of it though, I would probably end up insane from it lol But the price is very appealing, still I wouldn't take one if it was given to me for free lol (obv a joke)

UH, I HAD the tag exhaust...... its a total joke, what u get is a magnaflow muffler, a bunch of bent pipe, and a shitty craped out cat. for about 1 grand..... and the fit is horrible..... it melted my bumper.

it came from them with no resonator, or poly hangers like they had said, and mel fought me every step of the way. the exhaust sounds like complete ****. my exhaust even turned gold. because of the cheap ass exhaust tip they use.

in the end, i had to get my lawyers involved....... stay away from tag........ far far away, they have riped off way to many people.

 

??? magnaflow is one of the best exhausts i've ever heard on a cobalt

Thanks for the heads up, definitely staying away from them. And Its not that I want something loud its just I do not like the sound of the magnaflow its just to raspy for my liking IMO. I think I'm gonna go with the ARK DT-S exhaust- sounds great and they seem to be a respectable company.

my magnaflow is not raspy at all. the ark doesn't sound bad, but it's pretty damn loud.

 

All the ones I hear on youtube are pretty raspy but videos never do exhausts justice...

 

you can't judge an online video of someone revving their car to 6,000 rpm's while it's recorded with a **** microphone, then the quality is reduced even more when it's uploaded to youtube. my camera that was $11,000 and the couple grand worth of microphones along with the $10,000 worth of editing equipment i use look and sounds like dog **** on youtube. i'll see if i can get a high quality recording of my exhaust in the next few days. but believe me there's not any rasp. i ruined half of my magnaflow the first time around when i hit a deer, didn't even consider any other besides another magnaflow. but it's all just preference really, there's no right or wrong when it comes to a "good" sounding exhaust since good is subjective. but i'll get a vid for ya.

 

install is monday, i'll let ya know...... i know its hella nice right outta the box

 

That would be awesome man... I know of only a couple people around my area with cobalts but none of them have an exhaust so its been kinda difficult to pick one- it shouldnt be this big of an ordeal lol

Yea they are def pretty exhausts, a little pricy but the quality seems to be worth it.

 

I am new to all of this and I have been looking for a not to loud exhaust and not to quiet one at that and I seem to be leaning to Megan's 2.5 exhaust system for the price is around $379. In regards to poor youtube videos I agree they are not the most reliable forms of what your sound note will be with that application. I will probably go with the zzperformance header and combo dp and get a custom exhaust job done with a muffler to get the tone I need. Don't want ricy or straight pip loudness.

ARK DTS ROCKS holy honorable jesus!.... **** do this thing sound f**king mean..... deff not for the faint of heart, cuz its VERY loud, but deep as hell, and just sounds overly awesome!
