taking her in cant figure this out
well ever since i decided to remove my throttle body a while back and clean it. (i also replaced my plugs which suck ass,
deff going back to delcos tomorrow). my car (2007 ss s/c) goes into limp mode "engine power reduced" and becomes a slug. well today. while i was driving i barely gave her any throttle and she did the same thing only this time the tach dropped to 0 while the engine was still clearly revving. i slowly kept my foot at that same pressure untill i was able to pull over. once i stopped my car died and would not restart. the forst two times it started fired up then died. i popped the hood and nothing looked out of the ordinary other than i remembered that my motor is dirty as hell. i called my pops and was gonna have him tow me home when i got in a final time cranked her and pumped throttle she fired up and drove home just fine. it just dont make no sense. anyways we will see what dealer sais tomorrow.
clear any codes. i took off my supercharger and TB yesterday to get my stripped heads of my pulley bolts off. turned the car on ad it was throwing codes like crazy, deleted the codes and it was fine.
Sounds a little silly that all of the sudden the tb doesn't work due to it being cleaned. Unless you sprayed where the connector is. Sounds really odd to me that this is all happening right after cleaning.
Its strange that this car would need a throttle position sensor. Ive never seen anybody need to replace it on these cars but i guess if u got cleaner on it/ in it then u could have messed it up. U can check this with a scan tool that does live readings like mu code reader. U can check output of the throttle position sensor and see if it is giving out the wrong amount of power. Sorry but i dont remember the specs
But based on ur issues, if i had to guess id say it sounds like a dirty MAF sensor. Doesnt really seem like a TPS. Ur description doesnt sound like what a bad tps would do. But different cars do slightly different things i guess

Oh god no, the CKP is about $50 from GM and takes about 30 min to change if you've never done it before. The TB you already know how to do. Rear hubs is only slightly worse than a brake job, and under $100 for the parts.
Yes and no. I changed mine with no issues. Other people have had to perform the CASE relearn after, but usually it's still going to work, knock detection may not be up to par but you could put it in and drive to the dealership to have it done.
