Which TB is better/larger diameter?

I tried searching, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Don't know if it is because my search wasn't good enough, or if this question hasn't been asked yet.

Anyways, which throttle body has the larger diameter on the inside? The LS4 throttle body, or the Saturn Motorsports throttlebody.

I have never heard of the Saturn Motorsports TB, but the larger LS4 TB works on the Cobalt SS/SC, you will need to buy the Rebel Autoworx TB Spacer or have the supercharger opening ported where the TB attached to, also you will need to change the ETC Scalar Area under Idle in HP Tuners for this mod to run right. Also this mod will lean the A/F mix out almost a full point so it would be advised to add a bit of fuel in HP Tuners to adjust.

Also the car will be extremely touchy to the throttle, just be warned you will need to relearn how to drive the car, its insanely touchy on the gas after this mod

Does anyone know where I can get the LS4 throttle body and roughly how much it cost? I checked ebay, but I can never find anything on there. I would like one to do the swap, but I can't find one!

Saturn motorsports is only a tiny bit larger than the stock throttle body cause its been bored out slightly, and it has a better valve plate. I've heard testimonies that there isn't much of a difference and for a couple hundred dollars its definitely not worth it unless you have gone and done everything you can to your car already and don't want it custom tuned.

The LS4 throttle body is .5" bigger in diameter and is a bit of overkill if you don't have a lot of mods and supposedly makes your car more jumpy like QuikSilverSS mentioned, but it will get you some hp if tuned correctly (you for sure need to get tuned when installing this mod though). However the saturn motorsports throttle body does not require any PCM tuning.

If you're buying an LS4 throttle body, they're worth no more than about $55, but on ebay you can find them for cheaper sometimes.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I was wondering about the TB because I'm trying to blueprint the build I want to do on the SS/SC. Since the LS4 TB is larger I will def go with it. I know I will need tuning and was planning on machining the snout to match the diameter of the TB. Now I just gotta find a TB spacer with the same diameter that is already tapped for meth injection like the Cobalt Addiction one is. I think all this along with exhaust and the TVS s/c will make for some decent numbers when tuned.
