Thc's reBuild Thread

well i figured id make this thread since i started reinstalling my motor today.
my mods are as follow

je pistons .020 over stock bore (w coating)
ported head
60lb inj
3in pulli
zzp midlength header w 3in. downpipe
hahn 3in cat back
injen intake(soon to be rebel 3in)
zzp fmhe w dual pass and custom stainless option b(not finished)

also i have a aem wideband,aem boost guage, and hptuners pro

heres some pics









oops! hope this isnt to expensive



ill post mor pics when i get them. right now the motors in and bolted up.tomorow im going to be ordering the rest of the stuff i need and reconnecting all the wires and hoses.
hopefully i can have her running in the next couple of days.

nice man...how much do you think the over bore pistons will help...ive heard of having more bottom end, but not as high rev limit

thanks guys not sure how much the pistons will help mostly did it because the cylinders were a little scratched up from when the ringlands failed.

let us know how the sleeves work out. were they bored out with the stockers?

yikes. i def would not have bored out the stockers

they are cracking already without them being bored

no offense. but other that the pistons being .020 over bore. this isn't really much of a "build". unless there's other things you haven't mentioned. hopefully you go bigger and better on your rebuild after your sleeves crack and shatter

no cryo doesnt help as much as everyone thinks in my opinion. im just going to have to get a quote from my uncle for some machine work and pull the motor again when i have time.

i had that problem. but i talked to some people and pulled some strings. and its now not a problem that my pockets aren't deep, know what i mean?

well since no mail on the holidays i started bending the tubing for my stainless cooling tank.heres some pics.i will be orbitally welding the hose barb fittings to the tubing.the lines are 3/4"ss .065 wall.im probablly not going to have time to make the stainless resavoir before i go to texas for 3 weeks for work so ill finish then.
i will also be installing b&g coilovers when i get back. ill make sure to take pics and all that good stuff. on to the pics

these are the hose barbs i will be using


this is the feed line


the return line is tucked behind the washer fill spout
