Is there a CAI with no cel

I have researched this for days and it seems most of the intakes will pop the CEL. AEM claims there 6" intake won't. I have read so many threads on this but wanted to put together a list with % of CAI throwing CEL. If this has already been done let me no, I didnt see it. So please post what CAI you have and if you got CEL. Thanks

Tom

The most popular one on here is probably the injen cai. People are not throwing any cel with this intake. Most people at least are not.

I did alot of reasearch when i was first buying an intake and the aem intake from modernperformance.com is the best intake with no cels for the money I highly sugest this one even though its not full piping. At least the dealer cant give you any **** about aftermarket performance because its stock piping, but the bottom part uses the aem piping and aem filter.

Dry filter is low maintenance as well

I have the Injen, with a aem dry flow filter, and mine did through a CEL. But I plan on getting the HP Tune this month. That will solve the problem. Because the ECU is saying there is more air comming in, so something is wrong. Just have to up the peramotor on the MAF sensor.

what is the big deal if you get a cel from an intake? just delete it. it doesn't hurt anything. any intake can sometimes give a code.

AEM with dryflow, but I HAVE thrown a CEL. Pulled off the intake though and discoverd it was because it was SOAKING wet. Put an Injen Hyrdoshield over it, no problems since.
If you get a dryflow filter, plan on making the hydroshield purchase at the same time, because the first time you drive in the rain, it will get wet.

From what I've heard, both the RAW and RD 3" intakes are cel free.

out of 10 people, id say 3 or 4 get cels from any intake.
Injen in fact is one of the bigger culprits. so im not sure where you heard that one.

Injen w/ oiled filter that comes with the intake since Jan. 07' on there.....throws CEL's all the time (lol, since day 1 I put it on) when I'm cruising through town or sit at a long traffic light at idle.....its a misfire code p0300 and it puts me in limp mode...and I can't just clear it, unless I'm at work...then I clear it with the tech 2.....I have cleaned the filter and put it back on..still get the CEL..I'm guessing its from the fact that the stock MAF isn't metering the increased airflow enough or the MAF itself is going bad by possibly getting the filter's oil on it (has happened in the past on my past vehicles with a k&n)...possibly going to clean the MAF and go w/ an AEM Dryflow so see if that prevents it.....

I know people with Injen and they have not thrown a CEL. I myself have AEM and I haven't thrown a CEL.

Due to the fact Injen has been the popular choice, that is maybe why the CEL are inflated with Injen.

However, IMO when it comes down to % that have CEL, Injen is the least likely to have a CEL come on.

I have an Injen intake on my Balt for 2 years now and never one issue.
