Thinking about OTTP stage 3 kit...

But I had some questions...

What pulley size should I go with? I wanted to get a good amount of boost/power so I am assuming I should go smaller than stock. I have a 3" OTTP intake, and a full 3" exhaust right now as well as a zzp H/E.

I currently have 60# injectors, but since the kit includes 80# injectors, is there any noticeable differences in idle, etc. with the different injectors?

E85 is also not an option... no gas station within 100 miles that offers it.

For the TVS you will want something that allows you to throw some timing. The TVS seems to feel "dead" without timing.

Why is meth not an option?

IMO, OTTP Stage 3 with a 2.9 pulley(full header/dp/3" exhaust) and meth. on some 79's or 80's.

Should bump you to about 340 fwhp.

It is an every day driver and I don't feel like keeping up with meth. Basically what can I run pulley wise without worrying about this **** blowing up without meth/E85.

there is nothing wrong with running meth, just make sure you hook everything up and your set. get a kit with a failsafe. or don't bother with a TVS and keep the M62

So you are saying I won't make anymore power with a TVS without meth than I would on an M62 without meth... That doesn't really make sense...

Can we just get off the meth, I am not getting it nor do I want to. Just help me get what I can out of this car without meth.

Run meth.

It's very easy to keep up with.

1 yellow bottle of "heet" per 1 gallon of distilled water raises meth content ~10%. Mix for desired meth mixture.

You can run anything on your car and as long as it is tuned properly, you won't blow up. Meth/e85 has a higher resistance to knock. Thus allowing you to run more timing and gain more power out of the motor. That's it.

But, do the following.

OTTP Stage 3
Meth Injection
Race Header/Downpipe(3")
3" exhaust
2.9 pulley
79lb injectors

Your car will love you and you will love your car.

run every cooling mod besides meth. and run the stock pulley for a while. then talk to your tunner and see what he thinks. I'd say 2.9 would be the smallest i'd run without meth, but i'm not sure

Based on another thread here I can expect around 310/280 as far as power goes WITHOUT meth but he didn't say what size pulley he was using... These numbers are perfect for me, that's exactly where I want to be as far as power goes.

He's bluffing on the tq numbers.

Most he'd see tq wise is maybe 265. And that's a stretch.

More than likely on the 2.9 pulley as well.

Most you'll see out of stock pulley is ~290.

I was a touch over 300 stock pulley TVS with meth.

Meth is easy.

I had the progressive kit.

1 wire to the map sensor
1 for power for the controller
1 power for the pump
ground

and there are a few other wires in there.

My meth install(mounting the motor, installing the trunk mount tank and running the wire from the controller to the map sensor as well as the meth line from the tank to pump and pump to check valve/90/meth nozzle too me about an hour and a half.

The TVS install takes somebody(with experience) no longer than 30 minutes.

When I traded my car in I did a complete TVS swap into another LSJ in about 15 minutes. including injectors and the tuning.

100% meth is bad j00 j00.

Highly corrosive. This is what the touch of water is for.

Some people run 90/10.

I ran 80/20

Most run 50/50.

It's a mixture you'll have to play around with to see what your car likes the best.

No need to run meth with e85.

but if you're going to run e85 with the TVS you will need:

Walbro 255 fuel pump
return style fuel system
79's/80's

and a complete re-tune of the vehicle.

Stoich AFR has to be like low 8's commanded to achieve the 14.7 actual.

But, with e85, results are to be had.
