i can't agree more! Do it right the first time. I am currently building an entire longblock in my garage that should be getting dropped into my car in the next year and a COMPLETELY rebuilt longblock, combined with my current bolt ons and a crap load of psi from the twin screw will make me unstoppable. So, you should really look into doing the 60's.

What is full boost for you? You check to see if your cat is clogged?

Roughly 17 PSI, really depends on air temp.

Perhaps I have different plans from most people on here.

I'm not interested in making 300hp... I want to be able to make the most out of the power I've already got. What good is that much power if you can't get it to the ground.. you either boil the tires off... or roast the clutch... or if you do hook you snap an axle. The engine runs safely and just fine at 16PSI... so I don't see a reason to go above that.

A lot of y'all forget that there are other ways to add power without simply cranking up the boost and hoping nothing goes boom. I can slap on a Cobra HE to increase cooling, get a little creative with the tune to flatten the power curve, and the car will be much faster b/c instead of making peak HP right at redline I will be making power over a broader porton of the RPM range.

Tune plays a major roll, but IMO heat is what kills.
exceeding the ring lands ability to handle the cylinder pressures.

So... anyone with a 2.7 pulley wanna lemme know when you hit 16PSI?

I think 2.7 or 2.75 may be the way to go to get the amount I want low enough in the RPM range.

That as well, but what about the many others?

I just used him as an example.

well most people that are trying to push 300whp plus already know about traction issues. anybody in their right mind would know that as soon as they start boostin more to put better axles and a clutch in. also, tires are a big issue too and thats why you can simply through some 16's with street slicks on there for when your ready to run it. also, if your going to be all technical about this and that and everything else, you forgot about the biggest issue which is the tranny. the tranny has been proven not to handle 300whp good when you are getting good traction. but that can be fixed too, take your tranny to a performance shop that builds transmissions and they can fix you up just fine. im actually talking to a shop right now that lives in my area about building my tranny up to 600whp. its all about how car your willing to go and some people just want to go all the way and not have the same setup as most people have.
