TOG header

Saw this on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-2...QQcmdZViewItem

But its not on their site. I guess the SC at the end means S/C 2.0 but it might fit all Cobalts....?

Looks like a nice piece that I would seriously think about getting.

Anyone have any more info, or know about this? (Vendors??)

lol that looks like the same one i sold to someone on ebay

i bet it is the one i sold that thing for $250, no way in hell it's worth over that.

think i'll be selling the prototype tog header on ebay for like $150 or something as soon as hanh releases theirs, or vibrant gets the one with the removable cat on the downpipe out for sale

it is actually ceramic, it's the new aluminized stuff. it lasts longer than normal ceramic because it's much harder and won't chip easy from road debris

they are out of business because of the afore mentioned header. Big fiasco and check the 2.0 performance section for what ended up happening. And yes I have one and yes that is what it cost. I was the last one to get one and that was a hassle in itself and none of them came with a gasket. I have been so busy with home reno's that I haven't had time to make my gasket so that I can install that header, so I am hoping mine actually fits and works.

I guess that wall of gaskets only work for mazda's and porsche's because the muffler shop I went to sent me to a place that was wanting big bucks for a custom, not off the wall, gasket. I have gasket material just a lack of time right now. Want to drive over to this coast and help me out?

So you have given up the search..

http://www.sacskyranch.com/exchart.jpg

There are many such pictures on the internet.

Basically, if you find a shop that doesn't suck, they will help you.

I think you misunderstood. I need the other end. The downpipe exhaust fit not the header to motor gasket

Not the triangular the 4 port exhaust gasket. Now i did find some of those at a local auto parts store on the rack (the 4 port exhaust gasket) but none match the tog header.

Well, IMO, if the header is designed to fit the head, then the stock gasket will still line up with all the studs and the ports.. So even if it isn't a 100% Shape match, it will still seal the two.

you got on someone's case 3 days ago about not googleing a vendor's name Now it is you who needs to do a search on here because there are pics of this header lined up to a stock gasket and they do not line up nor create a proper seal. What's more as already stated, this header put TOG out of business because of problems associated with this header.

What he is saying is go to a shop that does exhaust work and chances are they will have a gasket that will fit for you. If the shop has umteen million gaskets on the wall there will probably be a gasket that fits good enough to make it work.

Go in there with your header and say I need a gasket to fit this can you help me out.

Stocking parsing words people.

Ok, I'm sorry for all the ****. Whatever...

To Summarise.

1. The Header Looks Great
2. A Simple gasket problem is no reason to not install a $400.00 Header.

the header isn't worth $400--- it's worth about $250 max. we hashed this over for about a month or so in December-January. The stock gasket won't work because the flange on the tog header has too much material cut away from it. this is because the dumbfucks didn't take the info i gave them on the prototype test seriously. here's a picture of the gap with the stock gasket:

TOG Header

I have the header installed on my SS. I made a gasket from material I bought at an autoparts store. I have had it on for 2 months and no issues. Do not repeat do not reuse the lower gasket unless you want a leak! The price on e-bay seems like a good price since you will have to fab. the gasket yourself. It is not a hard install and can be done in a couple of hours in the garage at home while enjoying a few cold beverages of your choice.

Did you just make the lower one as well or buy a new stock one?
I have to do mine on Wednesday or Thursday and hopefully I will be able to get a dyno done on Friday.
