canned tunes are generally rich. either get a custom tune or send it back and tell them to lean it out. basically the only two choices you have. that sucks though, my ottp tune was so rich it wouldn't even get into first without like 2k rpm.
thats why i always say, have a wideband if you start messing around with the tune. Hell my tuning program is coming for my truck and im loading the winter tune up (reduced timing, to take away about 100hp or so and allows me to run 89octane) I went out last week and bought a wideband, even tho im not going to be hammering on the gas, i wanna know what its doing when the tune is changed.
a wideband is must have before screwing around with fuel maps and timing maps. before you do another tune be sure to get the wideband. canned tunes are ****, like litterally ****. one car is different from another and alititude, mods, type of mods, driver, temps have alot to do with the tune. so get a wideband then get a tune.
^^^ i agree
I have my SCT programmer on the way, it has 3 tunes on it (93 octane performance, nitrous (94 octane) and fuel economy (89 octane). I know they arent going to be perfect so im going to do some data logging and some dyno runs, send the files back to the guy, get him to adjust them and should be good to go. Most people wont even tune a vehical without a wideband I know when i had my cobalt, my tuner wouldnt touch my cobalt without one.

im right there with you guys as well a wideband is an amazing thing to have, but money is an Issue right about now with the holidays and all that. Plus they have there own wideband to do the tuning with, Ive been talking to with the shop for the past couple of days now and a wideband will be my next investment into my car. but untill my next pay check I cant do a thing
