torque braces

i am not sure if this is the place to ask this but would torque braces elimanate that big bang on a hard shift for 1st-2nd. perhaps maybe even get rid of some wheel hop. let me know. also where to get them or which ones are the best. i need to solve this asap. thank you for all the help.

holy crap prepared to get flamed REALLY BADLY.

Bro since the advent of this site TQ Braces have been discussed throughly. Let me answer your question. You need the brace to not only brace the top of the motor but there needs to be one underneath it also. Yes it will stop a lot of that thumping you get when your engine is ripping itself from the mounts but not all of it. Unfortunately I got this car when it first came out and also got a TQ brace when it first came out. Mine is only for the top and it works for a little while when I preload it correctly but most of the time it doesnt do ****.

sorry for the post i guess, i am new to the site and havn't really looked around. well what would anybody recommand. meaning what would be the best route to take. who makes them and which ones do i get.

Really your best route would be to do this. Use the search feature on this site.

Search for

Poly trans mounts, poly engine mounts, anything poly. Those are you best solutions. Also tires with a wider contact area and smaller diameter will do wonders. I switched from the 215/40/18's to 225/40/18's. I can launch harder now without the hop.
