Trunk problem
Trunk problem
Okay so i disconnect my battery only i didn't realize the only key i have is the valet key. so now i have no access to my trunk. How can i get in there? Can someone take a picture of the release inside? I can fit my hand in there but don't know what or where i am feeling. Open to suggestions.

I opened the trunk before the battery was disconnected then i closed it after not realizing that i only have the valet key. Meaning all i can do is open driver door and start car only no power so i can't do anything. If someone can tell me where exactly the seat lever or whatever is i might be able to shove my arm through and open it up. anyone tell me where this latch or lever is?
agreed, valet key? And if you can reach the latch for the trunk, then you have one big ass hole in your car. Have you tried the button inside the car?
Ur in trouble...the lever for the seats to fold down is in the trunk. You can't get to them unless the deck lid is open. Locksmith....?
My car came with two identical keys, what is a valet key? and how can it only operate ignition and driver door? All the locks on my car are keyed the same

well how far in is the release because i can actually shove my arm between the seats and feel around in the trunk. I will probably go to the dealer when they open and ask them to cut me a key.
the latch is way back near the upper half of the opening in the trunk. your arm isn't long enough to reach that far. unless ur some 8 ft. tall skinny feller, then you might have a chance
hook jumpers up to your car from under the hood to get some power. I'm sure you've got a set and someone elses car nearby that you can use

well yea. Jumpers are for starting the car when the battery dies and it takes way more power to crank the starter than it does to pop the trunk latch. And having your battery disconnected is basically the same thing as it just being dead. Attach the cables to the positive lead sticking out of the fuse box and the ground on the strut tower. That's where ur supposed to jump the car from anyway, that's why the positive connector is up there and the ground clearly labeled
Go give it a shot and come back and lemme know how it worked

I guess so? lol I can't believe neither of you thought about that before hand. We've all been under the hood, you had to notice those leads and know what they were for lol
In case you can't tell, I have had alot of dead battery problems on past cars. I even had a car that had no battery, i carried around a jumper box lol
i probably should do that because my keyhole in the back is for a different car (traded trunks) and the gigantic 2 15s box bolted to the floor makes entering the trunk difficult from the front even thou i have the seats down all the time
