He's running a Holset WH1C, new turbo made originally for a 1994 cummins 5.9 liter.

Here is a funny thing to see... Full 3" exhaust, with the stock tip! I forgot to get a pic of that.

Insane! I don't see any room for an air filter though. I don't see that turbo running for too long without one.

It allowed us to keep an easy way to mount the throttle body and keep the evap lines in place properly.

No, the rotors are removed.

Velocity Stack > Air Filter

To answer the PMs about the exhaust setup, its a tri-y manifold to a 3" up pipe with a T3 flange, to the turbo. Then runs a 3" Vband clamp on the downpipe to a QTP cutout, through a magnaflow resonator and out the back with the stock tip welded on.

Its quite a noise maker even with the cutout closed.

As far as the current issues now that is in flint:

There is some major electrical issues that needs to work out. Dan called me at like 12:40, but I was way too tired to answer. I think there are some connection problems, and the 2.2 alternator is not putting out quite enough (only 11.4v, but it's very constant)

That, and the PE fuel is REALLY rough. We've started tuning with my laptop, because Dan's lappy is under the knife right now. Timing is very conservative too.

All that being said, the thing starts hissing, then BOOOOM, you are plastered to the seat. THat boost hits you like a freight train.

oh and by the way.... I just may have an EVO VIII in my driveway in about 2 weeks. Just need to come up with some quick cash.

I"ll be selling a built motor. just with a stock head soon... will be a nice 0 miles setup for anyone interested.

ARP Main studs, ARP head studs, Cometic head gasket, Neutral balance shafts, plus I'll throw in the 2.2 alternator, tensioner, belt and crank pulley for those interested in doing a turbo swap.... $3000

Vid for those interested. This thing is UNTUNED at the moment, until the electrical problems are worked out.

Also, Big turbo with lag that is untuned against an AWD monster from low speeds.... yea, not really even playing field.
