BOOM

you need all cooling mods, 60lb injectors, custom tuning, etc. you cant just slap it on the car and expect it to run perfect. it pushes way too much air to be on a completely stock lsj

Jeez!!!

So then it must be extremely better!!! IF you have a TVS tell me what kind of power it brings to the table.

We already went over this....common man. The m62 is good to almost 300whp with all mods. The tvs pushes you over that mark and up to around 330. Alot of it is in the tune.

They are good for over 350whp with supporting mods.

Nobody really discloses that information because it causes a huge flame war. And I can't say I blame those who own one...And I am wanting one too....

But will run a 2.9 instead of a 2.75(if that is possible which I believe it is.)

It's not worth dropping below a 3.1 I believe it is on a TVS. Area already went over this.

Also, I don't know to many people laying down 350whp with the tvs. And define your supporting mods? Are you talking about injectors? because technically the only thing you need for a tvs are 60lbers, a belt, and a tune. The only thing adding power is the aggressiveness of the tune, and the more air being forced into the engine.

It just gets to the point to where the thing is pushing too much air....I'd be worried running over 20something lbs of boost.

And I know boost doesn't mean power and if I had that much air flow I'd like to have different internals and stuff for it too.

I would think it would be best to get the GMPP stage 2 and maybe alittle smaller pulley, and see how you like things then with the stock M62

No, if you are going to stay with the m62 you must go with 60lbers, 2.8inch, meth, tune, and other cooling mods if you would like.

I'm gonna be sticking with the 2.9 on the M62 but going to the 60's, with meth, CX H/E and hp tune.

If I were to go with TVS it wouldn't be any time soon. I'm actually looking into getting meth and a CX H/E right now because i desperately need them. I also need the 60's cause I had my injectors checked and they are at I believe 96% at 6K rpm.

yea 60lbers are a good idea, you can also drop to a 2.8 if you are grabbing meth and a heat exchanger. Where ya going for your tune?

I want to get hptune but I don't know of anybody around in my area with hptuners...

The reason I wanna stay with a 2.9 is because(with my set-up) my car is pulling harder than 2.8 pullied cars. I know 2 guys who had 2.8 but after seeing the difference they went to 2.9...Maybe it is because of the injectors and not a proper tune....idk

And I'm also not looking to try and make 2154161whp. I want something that is fun when I want it to be.

The 2.8 cars are running slower because they are on gm stage 2 tunes, they don't have proper cooling mods, there injectors are static, there heat soaking, etc.

A proper tune, with advanced timing, a nice safe 11.4 afr, 2.8 pulley, 60lbers, etc will be quite a bit quicker then a stage 2 setup, or a 2.9 on stage 2. Wont be to much quicker then a 2.9 60lber and tune though.

More efficient but the intake manifold is STILL a problem.

Exactly, if the m62 guys could get a new manifold we could get over that 300whp mark easily. Thats why turbo guys can see such a huge increase by using the hahn intake manifold.

That was kinda what I was figuring. Thanks for the advice.

I am wanting to upgrade my performance, but as I've said before I need cooling mods...lol

The only real cooling mods we have is meth and H/E right? And other minor tweaks we can do like wrapping your intake piping and what not.

Well, there was one in the works that changes the air flow or something and the guys who had them as prototypes had an increase. i don't know how much.
