Tvs

Ive been looking around for some numbers from the TVS and if it is worth it or not. I plan on doing

TVS
60lb Injectors
Dual pass Endplate
Option B
2.8 Pulley
Hahn header
LS4 throttle body
Rotated mounts
Exedy Clutch Kit

What can i look at HP wise? over 300?

Dont think there is a 2.8 pulley for the TVS... Unless you want to upgrade your fuel system beyond 60s.

Yea youll be over 300hp.. but youll need a good tune for it.

u might wanna try the LS4 TB with the spacer on ur Heaton for now, i know they are a bit touchy, you might not like how it feels.

but overall MODS arent shyte without the proper tune, find a reputable member in ur area with HPTuners.

You can tune out the touchyness by raising the Scalar Area in HPtuners.

I would strongly recommend the ls4 tb with the TVS though.

The tune makes or breaks.

I dont mind the fact of the TB being Touchy, ive read alot on the TB Swap. Im just curious as to how the numbers are for the TVS. As far as the 2.8 pulley OTT sells a wide array of TVS pulleys for $55 it comes with a 80mm.....(im not sure what that equals to) And for the tune im going to get a base TVS tune sent to me (i have hptuners) and play with it from there. Im just wondering the overall possibilities on numbers with the TVS and if it is worth spending the money on it vs a turbo swap.

dont have that much more money right now...LOL but i read up on it and i think i might go with the 72's. i forgot to add above i have a 3inch custom magnaflow exhaust and i will have a 3 inch intake with the ZZP 3 inch MAF. not sure on what pulleys to get now heres my choices

64mm / 2.5" ~ 27.5 psi
70mm / 2.75" ~ 25 psi
75mm / 2.95" ~ 22.5 psi
80mm / 3.15" ~ 20 psi
85mm / 3.35" ~ 17.5 psi
89mm / 3.5" ~15psi

im just trying to see what would be best for my stock internals right now...(build to come)

Probably not a good idea to go smaller than the 80mm without doing some major engine overhaul.

ok, here is my question, i was gonna go with a ported and polished M62 with a 2.5" pulley, 60lb injectors, cooling mods, return fuel system, cai, and full exhaust, but now i am going to go with the Harrop, what is the smallest pulley you can run with stock internals????

I had considered 72lb'ers as well, but heard bad things about the idle due to 60s being the max that are fully recognizable by the PCM.

60's will be more than sufficient for power levels between 300--350. Add meth and you can go higher without having to go to larger injectors.

As far as the smallest pulley on stock internals, there is really no established limit. Not that I've come across anyway. Other things will hold you back before you have to upgrade your internals (such as the fuel system).

Keep in mind there are turbo conversion LSJ cobalts (Paul) with over 440whp on 100% stock internals. It's really a non issue as long as the tuning is there.

Your an idiot. You post in almost every LSJ thread and you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Stop posting and start reading...

You can get any size TVS pulley you want.

The LS4 TB is very touchy. I have used one and I will not put one on my TVS.

This is the most important part of deciding what pulley to go with.

Yeah obviously you dont want to start out with the smallest pulley possible. Thats just asking for trouble!
