Upgrading LSJ
Hey guys! Been stalking the forums since i got my car almost 2yrs ago, figure I'll finally make a post. Here's the deal:
My 06 SS/SC is bone stock performance wise other than an Injen CAI. I've been happy with it but its finally time for some more serious modding
Here's the plan so far, let me know what you guys think. Just wanna make sure I get everything I need and don't leave anything out. Assuming all goes well the purchases should be made within the week!
---ZZP stage3
-Oversized Tensioner
-S3 Heat Exchanger
-2.7" pulley
-80lb injectors
-Gas tune
---ZZP 3" Catless Downpipe
-bung for wideband(will plug it untill I get dual interceptors)
---ZZP Dual pass endplate
---Option B
-want to make my own kit but i dont know where to locally find the little reducer piece that slips into the hose???

Then after I get everything taken care of and get the Interceptors I'm thinking of maybe getting in touch with Bennybooster(ithink thats his username) and seeing if he could tune my car

Looks good, I'd strongly recommend getting the Catted DP, I have the ZZP 3in catted dp and the ZZP 3in exhaust with magnaflow muffler and resonator and I get the occasional rasp that sounds like ass, I couldn't imagine how it would be with one or more of those things not there.
And I'm assuming your going to get a cat-back along with whats listed

Actually I was going to leave the stock catback for now as I've read of others doing about the same exhaust setup without issues and without too much rasp.. I just don't want to keep going through cats with a modded engine. That gets expensive quick
And yeah it takes some serious willpower to not mod this car! Its my DD so I do most of my modding on my Jeep and my V8 Ranger

-S3 Heat Exchanger................dont bother with that h/e, get the griffin in the first place and be done with it if you can afford it
-2.7" pulley
-80lb injectors................your good there, wont run out of injector(i was pushing ~20psi on 60#'s upto 7200rpm and was almost maxed out)

-want to make my own kit but i dont know where to locally find the little reducer piece that slips into the hose???..............you can make your own pretty easy, 1/4" dia. wood/plastic dowel and drill an .040" hole in it or 1/16" bit if
you cant get the .040"

If I need to do it now, I think I would do the 2.5" kit from mandrelbendsexhaust with a good resonator and I'd experiment with mufflers..NO FARTCAN...Maybe try one of the stainless Borla muffles that came off of my buddys SVT Cobra, it was decently quiet on his car which was catless.

Is the Griffin HE you're talking about the expensive($550) one on OTTPs site? It's a little out of my price range right now.

Thanks man, ill look into that. Figure I'm better going the DIY route on this because IMO the Option B kit is way overpriced for what you get. Heck one kit i saw even had plastic T's. I can get the reservoir for like $20 then the hoses and brass fittings should be about another $20. $40>$110
