Very cool tuner coming soon.

i am not sure if it is coming for the cobalt specifically, but on the sct site they say that gm vehicle support is coming spring 07, and they just came out with this AWESOME tuner that i am going to buy.

http://www.sctlivewire.com/lwmain.php

check that out.

if you use aftermarket sensors, the readings can be just as accurate as a high quality gauge, and the numbers are nice, big, and easy to read. tuner/gauges all in one for about 550 bucks.
you can reflash on the fly and hold something like 6 different tunes and sct has a great track record in the mustang world.
it also has a g-tech type function that estimates performance. just another cool feature.
you guys should keep an eye on that to see if it comes out for the cobalt. once i get it i will right a review on it for the mustang guys and ill throw it over here too if you guys want. Just thought you might be interested.

Looks like an overpriced interceptor, however it does have an AF reading. Probably narrowband tho.

i was under the impression that the interceptor was just a digital monitor for mutliple gauge readings...i didn't think it could tune...

They absolutely HATE those little suckers.

Fix it for you.

Yes it does. But im sure the dealership will be able to tell how many times your ECU has been flashed.

This one really cant tune either. It comes with a pre-loaded tune. To get it custome tuned you have to go to a SCT Dealer. So you dont get to tune it yourself like you would with HPTuners.(also, im sure they'll charge you for the Custome tune.)

So besides the Pre-tune it just a fancey gauge.(looks like a good one too).

you can tune it yourself, you would go to an sct dealer for a dyno tune. they are telling you that so you use their dealers and they make money. they say the same thing for the x-cal II which is only a tuner. most people who get tuners get them dyno tuned anyway, they just don't add some timing and go with it. it is basically an x-cal 2 with gauge like functions and data-logging. the reason it comes with preloaded tunes is so you can actually have some gains before you take it to get dyno tuned. oh and it comes with a wideband sensor which somebody asked...

oh and it saves your stock tune so you can flash it back at any time. i don't know about your ecu's but if you reflash the stock tune, unplug the battery, then hook it back up and drive for something like 10 miles, it totally forgets it was flashed and will just show that the system was restarted at ____ time. then you just tell your dealer you unplugged the battery to help clean your engine bay or some bull.

It can't tune. Looks like someone jumped on you a little quick without reading your whole post? The product does look interesting though. Hopefully they have it for the Cobalt.

does the aeroforce have a display like that? that's one of the reasons i like it....some of you know i am going forced induction this spring and i kinda dislike the cluttered look of like 4 gauges on the a-pillar or in the center of the dash, so i think i am going to get a wideband o2 sensor and everything else i need, mount this on the back of my motorized flip-out monitor, so when i feel like stepping on it for a bit or racing, i can flip it out and keep track of boost, afr, temps, etc real accurately and it can tune i dono what some of you are talking about. You don't need to go to an sct dealer. just givin you guys some info cause sct is a GREAT company, and this equipment looks real nice.
