Vibrant Cat-Back

Anyone out there have the 3inch Vibrant cat-back for the SS/SC? How well does it perform? Thinking of getting this set up for my car.

Do yourself a favor and dont go bigger than a 2.5" unless you are running some serious boost, i actually prefer the GMPP catback ot the Magnaflow. The GMPP gave 12whp on a stock SS/SC. 3" is to big plus i had a vibrant on my last car, spend a little extra and get a better cat back. Thats just my opinion, to each ther own

It is rather loud. Sounds good at idle, meanas hell at WOT, but normal driving I think it sounds like ass.

It's loud!!! Cruisin it's almost too loud to have a normal conversation. If I had to do it all over again....I'd still buy the complete Vibrant exhaust system again.

I'm really interested in seeing the dyno sheet for it. I would like to buy this exhaust system I'm just worried about loosing so much lower end tourqe to find out that it moves my revband out of the 7000 rev limit.

I have the vibrant cat back I love the dam thing and if you are going to mod you are going to need the 3 inch and the low end thing you are mainly in the mid to high rpm range. Just look at my sig.

Bah, the low end thing is way over-hyped. Tuning is your friend. Car drives fine.

exactly!

bring up the timing tables on the low end. it gets retarded!

runnin 25 degree's at 2500-3k rpms makes for a nice time in second. tires hate it though

The best thing to do is find someone local with hp tuners.

Why put a 3" exhaust on basically stock car that has the stock pulley, unless you are runningserious mods go no bigger than a 2.5" or you will lose low end, trust me most of the time you wont be at 5000+ rpm its better to have a car that loses a few peak hp but more than makes up for it in low-mid range power. bigger is not always better! (In terms of exhaust!...i can see this going off topic real fast! haha)
