I thought Rod said something about being forced to do that for the engine to clear the hood. He should have just gone with a cowl.

considering I have been waiting and going crazy for sooooo long now.

Yes the height of the engine causes a problem with the hood but by moving it forward a smidge it would also cause problems with the steering rack.
That problem a cowl doesn't address.

As for what is still stock, we have tried to leave plenty of stock things as I don't want people to notice I have modified the car.

p.s. all the Chevy badge's go off the car unless you (GM Performance) want to finally get in on this project.

Wow, just seen the thread about your project. I'm so jealous. To get this project to turn out and work. You have some great talent. Defenitly should be in magazines. So sexy seeing those slicks on the back. Plus nice to see you representing Canadians with a huge modification. I live in red deer, and would absolutely drive out your way to see your car one day. Do you plan to ever come out to alberta for a few shows maybe?

Thanks again guys.

The next couple of weeks get slow as the fabricator is going on a over due holiday, as ordered by his wife.
Once he gets back we will see the wheel tubs get in and the inside get buttoned up. From this point there is 300hrs assigned to finish this aspect of the project. From there it goes over for painting of the cage/engine bay.
Then it is off to have the drivetrain/wiring/lines/etc installed. We are still aways away but slowly we are moving forward.

You are in luck as I have nephews in Red Deer that I promised to bring the car out for them to see. Just don't ask me when just yet.

I am hearing that a lot. Someone even suggested paying for the build by charging for rides. Maybe I need to set up a raffle for a couple of rides at the track.

I can see this car being quite similar to Brent Rau's RWD Turbo 2g Eclipse:

I have two sets. One for track and one for the street with a set of axels for both.
There is the 3:89 Richmond gear set and the Motive 4:30 housed in a Strange/Ford 9".
