victory_red_SS' latest addition to the project

While I have been waiting for the car to get done I have gotten ready for taking the car to the track as well as to Sema and other shows.
The car will still be street driven but I needed to be able to travel longer distances with out adding too many needless miles to the drive train.
The truck is a 2001, low mileage Silverado, 2500HD. The wife actually suggested I buy a truck to tow the trailer. I think she just wanted me to be able to haul junk to the dump. I may have to get the truck painted victory red to match the trailer/car.
The trailer is a Haulmark 20' show car trailer. The trailer was custom ordered as Victory Red was an option from Haulmark.
Can you guess what's missing in the last picture?

No, I guess I am just a *****. I had very little to choose from in a used truck and of the dozen I looked at all were gas hogs. The diesel guys weren't selling their trucks. Even all the 4x4's were just gas ones. I wasn't going brand new either because I am not a truck guy and the extra money for a new diesel truck is better spent on the car.
I hope to see my car in the trailer in August. I will have a better idea of the timeline when the shop doing the rwd conversion starts their work. That is supposed to be this coming week.
I too love the color and that is why I chosse Haulmark over Pace.

Actually Mike, there is an RV driveway beside the house where we will put the trailer and the motorhome. I just need to do a small clean up as we just had the yard landscaped and all the extra stuff needs to be moved still.
As for Dodge vs Ford vs GM trucks, I really didn't want a truck. I have never had one and other than the fact that parking/towing the trailer was going to be a hassle with just the motorhome, I wouldn't have got a truck.
Do you think I can tow 7,000lbs with the new Camaro or Challenger????
