victory_red_SS's project continues.....

Well it is time to give an update.
The project has not gone according to schedule and yes Matty I know you told me so.
Last word is the custom cylider sleeves from Bates are almost done. They should be in by the time Mev from JBP gets back from his honeymoon, Sept. 17th. Until Mev is back we wait on the engine.
There is plenty for me to do however. I have a few parts that I can install such as these

front coilovers and control arm bushings

and some rear suspension parts

I will also have to install my 3 gauge pillar pod and gauges but be warned, the AEM Wideband gauge does not fit in the pod.

I also have to reinstall my carpet and maybe my seats as I removed them to put in my
rollcage

After putting that back together I will have to also make a list of stock parts to sell as many things are no longer needed. Here are some more parts I have lying around waiting to be put to work.

More parts

Then there are these ones as well

The body kit and hood should be here next week and I'll see how it looks painted and on before deciding whether I will keep it. I am trying to work out a deal with a local custom shop about a custom paint job (they did my cage) but right now Blake is too busy worrying about the car he will be racing on Pinks(he is the first Canadian in 4 seasons)
I will let you all know more as I do. Right now it seems the engine won't be shipped back until closer to the end of September and once it is installed Mev will be flying out to tune and tweak the engine.
The twincharge system is in the final stages and will be ready as soon as the engine is put back together.

Clutch\flywheel, airbox, front & back seats, pillar pod, shocks, springs and injectors. These are about all that comes to mind right now.

Wow,all those parts looks awesome! Very jealous

With 10:1 cr pistons aren't you concerned about adding more boost or are you using race gas only? Tuning is gonna be quite a challenge with a turbo and 60#'s with HPT. Not impossible just difficult, but I am sure it will be kick ass.

Are you going to tune it yourself?

Also make sure you download the newest version 2.1.10 is old!

I will download the newest version for sure and as far as tuning goes Mev from JBP will fly out to be a major part of the tuning. We will actually take a couple of days of tuning with a few hours each day on the dyno. Where I am going for the dyno is also a fellow with much tuning experience who will be available with the dyno.
As for the pistons I am told that with everything we are doing as far as head studs, mains studs, head gasket and assorted ways\devices for maintaining high oil pressure that this engine will hold that extra boost at a higher compression. This as been discussed with several people in the performance business and either they are right or there will be alot of crossed fingers when I first start running the car. We won't be turning up to full boost until after we get to 5,000kms (3,000 miles) and it will be done incrementally during breakin.

I will check what these parts sell for and post prices. The springs won't be out till later next week and one of the axels was actually scooped up by a member who blew his at the track. The other one sits there all by itself and I will likely just give it away because it's not a set.
I am willing to take offers on all the mentioned parts. I will post pictures of the seats tomorrow morning in the parts section.

I knew you would get around to saying that. As far as the cage goes, I am just waiting for the paint to come in and I will be painting it myself.

Nice, Victory. I'm curious, are you addressing the Hydraulic lines? From what I've been told, all of the "clutch problems" everyone thinks they're having is really from the lines not being able to "keep up".
