way to loud

so i jsut had a muffler put on my car and its way way way to loud..the guys said it wasnt going to be that bad but its louder than most cars on the road..i dont like it and i was hoping theres something i can do other than replacing it..would a good resonater make it quit...this needs to be changed...

Put on a silencer, find out what muffler you have and then search online for a silencer, you bolt it right at teh end of the tailpipe, usually 1 or 2 small bolts.

i have the silencer but the outlet of it is like 1.5 inches...wont that be really bad for my flow

what muffler did you get? Also get a different resonator to quiet it down.

i got a 2.5 in revolution...i was going to get magnaflow but the guy really recomended this and iv never heard of it..it looked really good but it is so so loud..i want to hear my blower u know..im so disapointed..dont know what to do..please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..theres a resonater on zzp for like 130..i wonder if that would work...its a nice tone just way to many decibals

the magnaflow muffler i put on is also way way way way loud as you stated..i try not to go past 1/4 throttle..its seriously so loud you can hear me from like 5 blocks away with heavy traffic if i step on it.......... im selling my stock muffler so im just gonna try to put a resonator on there and im HOPEING it'll be ok

I'm kinda in tha same situation. I just got tha Magnaflow exhaust that looks exactly like tha Megan for $120. Was happy with a sweet deal, but it's loud. Not sure of difference of: Resonator and Silencer. Price -vs- effectiveness -vs- performance. Guess I'll just wait to get pulled over by tha pigs and see what they say for loudness law.

resonators dont really make the exhaust that much quieter, they only change the tone and get rid of raspiness
