well crap........

went and played on the dyno last night to figure out some issues with the car. wot fueling nailed down perfect. now i can stop adjusting small portions of the pe map.

YaY

3 hours with the car strapped down. enough runs to make the shop smell like methonal. dialed in the race map, and daily driver map.

found that over 12.5 afr the car starts to lose power. fast. 24.5 degree's of timing makes for a near perfect curve. tried 26, lost power. tried 25. gained .10 hp

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

interesting you say? yulp.

daily driver tune.
274 whp
260 ft lbs.

race map/weekend tune
285 whp
263 ft lbs.

i wasn't even trying to do anything stupid with the car. i just sorted out an issue i was having, wanted a definate answer on max timing, and max afr in reference to making power.

got em. by product was a nice easy tune with really good power.

You're going at the math wrong.

But I just wanted to know the everyday numbers.

His car is covered in a thick layer of pixie dust! I've seen his car and under the hood, and still have no idea what he's done!

Good job hommie, I'm ready to wake my car up from it's 2 week slumber now too!

That's pretty badass. Best of luck on the 300whp.

I'm taking my shot on Saturday. We're throwing Torco in the tank and going for broke...

Yeah, it's been damn cold here lately! Last time I dyno'd it was for 1.5 hours and I didn't have any major heatsoak issues! Methanol is a wonderful wonderful drug!

22 degrees? ive been chillin in -40 lasrt week. time for spring soon i hope.
i was just asking, cause i let somone dyno tune my car once....... and the firewall was fried, it was slow as hell. slower than stock. hence why i bought hpt to figure the mess out.
see i took it in for a pull only. they he calls my wife and says >>>>>>>>>yadda yadda, i can fix it for you. she gave him the nod. i believe it sounded like popcorn , and was 13.2 afr WOT above 5500. my dear god. good thing i fixed it before it sploded. i knew within the first block it was FUBAR.
