Well it has happened...

I finally bit the bullet and bought a TVS.

80's, #82 valve springs and neutral balance shafts from ZZP. New timing kit from ZZP.

Guess the cobalt will be a whole lot more fun here in a month or so.

Be careful with the nbs from zzp, I hear mixed reviews on them. Also welcome to the tvs club!

Bought the ZZP stage 3 kit in April or so of last year. Have always wanted to run a TVS though, and here I am.

Mr. B I would if I could. It just isn't reliably available in my area. Any other time I would take your words to be solid. Want to put a pumping station in the back yard for me? I'll swap over in that case.

X2 on the NBS. I bought a used set and the bearing s were super marred. For what it's worth save urself 200 bucks, make more power and delete the shafts.

Yea the TVS is..incredibly fun... You won't make turbo numbers but the throttle response in a winding road is one of the things I look forward to everyday coming home.

If you haven't already, grab a set of rotated mounts from powell or ottp. It's night and day difference on what those things do, I honestly wish I had got those as my first mod.

Just a more solid feeling? Increased handling? Just curious.......

It's hard to describe..... I went TVS sometime in may and at first it didn't really...do anything for me. I bought the stage 3 ottp kit that came with the rotated mounts and the upper trans mount on black friday then I installed them. The car definitely felt more solid, didn't get anywhere near the torque steer I was used to getting previously. They complement the car extremely well.
