what to do about 2008 cobalt delema?

hey guys whats up, im new to this forum as of yesterday as you can tell this is my first post, i put my name as crossed over because i have a pontiac pursuit but getting someone to take over my lease because i just cant handle it, i have to go to the dark side with you guys and get a 2007 cobalt ss/sc, to me the pursuit 2.2l was awsome but i just need to be on top with the ss/sc. one problem tho, there are rumours going around that a turbo 2.0 ss will be out for 2008 with a face lift is this true?? any evidence at all? because if its true i will have a huge delema on my hands on whether i should wait till next year or scoop an 07 ss/sc now. i am so anxious to have one , especially since ive been a guest on this site for almost a year reading up on the ss/sc cobalt.
any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

thats a tought one man, because no one knows for sure whats going to happen with the 08 cobalt if anything. I guess you could buy a beater and drive it till you find out more.

Get your '07 and enjoy it.

Don't count on the future, even if it indeed comes out turbo'ed and more powerful... what if you don't like the facelift, or other things. Plus, it's neat be one of the few stock supercharged vehicles on the road, v.s. turbo'ed.

Worst comes to worst, you can do another trade in if you really want it badly. Have fun with it now

my suggestion, wait till the 08 comes out. that way, if you really dont like the 08, you can get the 07 for a cheaper price since they will be getting rid of them.

I was pissed when I heard the 07s were coming with AUX input, but then I realized I couldn't afford to wait anyway. If you can wait, wait... why not?

sounds like you really want this car, so i would say go get an 07, no sense waiting when u want something so bad, but if u can wait, than do so and see what comes out in 08. Even if it does go turbo, you can save up for the turbo swap or go with an aftermarket turbo kit that will probly make way more hp.

I would say wait, considering you are dumping the Pursuit because you can't handle the payments. By the time you can handle them the rumours should have been proven false.

MrRumble your right in a way too thats what i was thinking, i just hope they get moving with more upgrades for the ss/sc cause im afraid that they will slack on them when the turbo comes out if it even does. im kinda pissed at gm for doing this haha they should have stuck with the ss/sc and just had crazy upgrades that you can get straight from the factory as an added option. any other opinions?

no problem, after all were all in here to help eachother

one thing i can do instead of leasing it is finance so im not stuck in a lease like now and have to find someone to break it, then ill find out how much of a difference it will be in payments for a finance so i can just trade it in if anything and get the new one next year.
i just hope thats not gunna cost me alot more in the end tho, which i think it will.

Try talking to the dealer. Perhaps they can find a customer that wants your car. I have heard about some dealerships out here who claim the can easily get people out of leases. Hunt around for someone like that too.

yeah thats also a very good idea im going to ask around when i go, overall id like to have the ss/sc cobalt right now but im just thinking that with the 260hp tc one that MIGHT come out will not be as limited for upgrades as this one is. what do you guys think?
