What do you plan on doing when turboes become available
1) Keep you supercharger
2) Take supercharger off and put on a turbo
3) Twincharge
4) Buy a turbocharged cobalt in '08

i may buy a turbo ss in '08 if it is gonna be an option. otherwise im gonna keep my supercharger.

I will be going turbo, plan on making big power, selling my ported blower, along with all the pulleys i have with it.

for those keeping the supercharger i just emailed whipple about making an adapter plate so we could run one of their superchargers on our cars, i dont think they will whine like the eatons do but we will make alot more power, i hope im wrong about the whine though cause i love it.

here is a link to their site. they put a supercharger on a new mustang GT, the gains were insane, they gained like 240HP just buy adding the supercharger, thats crazy. just click the link and read, words can not describe lol.

There is a vid of a GTP w/ a whipple swap and otherwise stock. It sounds AMAZING!! I wish I hadn't lost that link.....But once it hit boost, OMG, never heard anything like it.

 

does it still whine/scream like our stock one does, cuz on whipples site they said that their superchargers are alot quiter?

I'm keeping the SC. I don't plan to go too crazy with this car. I just wanted a fun car to drive around and work on for a few years before I do the marriage and kids thing.

 

at the moment I am still a little undecided between keeping my sc or trading in for the turbo. I am leaning more and more toward the turbo, just have to see what i still owe on the current car and how much the dealer will give me for it.

in other words, i am looking foward to a turbocharged cobalt. AWD would be nice too...i miss that on my old car...not only for launching but also for snow!

 

I'm not looking for major power, so I will be staying with the SC with a small possibility of Twin-charge down the line. For turbo I am hoping for the new Evo-X when available.

plan on keeping the factory supercharger, then upgrage to a 6.1L Hemi challanger....

Or perhaps get a turbo solstice/sky....

 

pay off the car.....

then either trade in for a saturn sky redline, or dump some cash into the slowbalt and make it a fastbalt.

 

i want that whipple bad!!! that sounds amazing! i hope they design a blower swap for us because i wanna keep a supercharger on my car and nothing else. i hate lag.
