That sucks, I didnt realize they have an option for that. I got the stage 3 right after they came out and dont think they had that option yet. Im glad I moved on to a custom tune.

That's why I want to learn how to tune my own car so I can change tunes with changing weather. I bet you the changing weather had a lot to do with the fact you were getting knock. They should tune the pcm's to be safer instead of getting every hp you can out of the car. My pistons probably already look like that....

Very sorry to hear, at least you can look forward to a forged engine now. Its all you can do when in this position.

I was curious what code you threw, like you said above?

Sorry to hear man .

All you guys with mail order tuned pcms , know what your a/f's are . If it was known this car was that lean , almost every tuner Ive heard of will re-tune for free if you can accurately inform them whats goin on . All cars are different in one aspect or another , theres no such thing a universally perfect tune for everyone . Even with the same combo between cars . I know as fact Intense and Rob both will correct tuning issues free of charge if you can accurately tell them whats going on .

The code would come and go, it didn't know what it wanted. 2 be lean, or not 2 be lean that was the question, and the answer was 2 melt.

I have heard of one problem with a 60lb injector. So you didn't even have an interceptor to watch for knock? Come on man, you gotta at least do that. Protect yourself. All it takes is a bad batch of gas to ruin an injector or allow detonation.

No . I have seen instances with all types of injectors that have randomly prematurely failed . Its not a common problem , but it does happen . It may have been "weak" for a period of time causing intermintent code when it strained for fuel when u drove more aggresively than just normal light crusing . Then just quit , and bye bye piston.
