i'm def no expert on the LSJ, but it does seem to be a popular change to make.

If you switch to a smaller pulley, you may want to look into HPTuners.

If you go with a 2.9" pulley, you should net about 1.5 pounds of extra boost. This setup will run fine with the stage 2 reflash and belt.

It also couldn't hurt to look into getting cooling mods: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/official-cooling-thread-59987/

Suggestion>>> Do the dual pass Setup with another H/E before you throw anymore heat thru the manifold! It will sustain More HP Longer without Heat soak!

What is required in order to use a 2.8" pulley?

go with a smaller pully like 2.5, meth injection, 60lb injectors, ported blower, cai and full exhaust. With a good tune you'd have a shot at 300.

u wont have to get a machined snout.. it bolts right up.. nething under 2.8 requires a machined snout.. all u need is the pulley system which u can get from pulley boys for $100

if u dropped down to a 2.8 u would gain roughly 10hp.. they say every .10 u go down u gain 5hp.. u might run a high 13 in the 1/4

Actually guys have run mid 13s with ST2 and a 2.8 pulley. GM ST2 alone can net a high 13 second pass, if you have some skills.

Stage2 with 2.8 might be pushing it, I wouldnt go under 2.9 without cooling and monitoring. Get your IAT cooling in order before you mod too much, temps are killer on these motors. And 300 is hard to do on the stock blower w/o N2O I have read, be careful....

2.6 pulley, heat exchanger, dual pass intercooler, spark plugs, HP Tuners, and maybe a nitrous system

if you're looking for a smaller pulley, nherbst454, makes them that fit the stg2 hub - no snout needed... word is though - don't go smaller than 2.9 (2.85 very smallest) to be safe w/stg2 tune

Yea I think I am going with a 2.85" pulley from Nate with one step colder plugs. What do some of you guys think about this set up?
